Vladimir Ivanovich cured many of drug addiction. This is reality. Since 1988, having declared a personal war on the drug mafia, and later, in the center he created, he successfully treated drug addicts, publicly exposing the myths around drugs. The author of 57 scientific papers, more than 1,500 newspaper and magazine publications has developed catchphrases over the years of real practice. One of them is that “soft drugs do not exist in nature. Talking about this is the same as saying that death can be easy...”
To date, experts believe that there are about 2.5-3 million drug addicts in Russia (12 million in 1997!). The test developed several years ago by V.I. was of great help. Ivanov for parents, approved by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation as part of the program for the prevention of drug addiction and AIDS, which really helped to notice changes in the child’s behavior that arose after the first drug samples. The booklet that they helped him print sold 300 thousand copies, and the test was published by central newspapers, magazines, and local publications. And in 2004 V.I. Ivanov, based on his fairy tale “Sweet Trap,” was the first in the world to create an anti-drug radio play (voiced by E. Vitorgan and V. Vasilyeva). By the way, no one even tried to evaluate the effectiveness of preventive measures, tacitly agreeing that they were supposedly useless. But how long has constant propaganda of a healthy lifestyle been needed, massive, constant, omnipresent, like today’s beer advertising! “I have no doubt that it has a positive effect on consciousness. The ancients said: “A drop chisels a stone not by force, but by falling often.” Today, overseas, this problem has been practically solved; drugs are in demand only among declassed elements, emigrants. The rest of America even gave up tobacco. And this is thanks to the promotion of a healthy lifestyle!”... He was born in Leipzig on January 3, 1950, in the family of a military man. In 1966 he entered the Yerevan Medical Institute. It just so happened that out of three hundred of his fellow students, about fifty turned out to be drug addicts, among them his friends. He tried his best to help them, but failed - he still knew little about the fatal disease. Who knows, if I had known more, I might not have decided to devote my life to the fight against drug addiction. And then, after graduating from college, he came to Moscow and worked in the 15th psychiatric hospital, in the department where adolescent drug addicts were treated.
Ten years of continuous worries and disappointments, since drug and psychiatric treatment could not bring results. In 1980–1993 worked in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR (head of the department for monitoring the psychological state of employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR, then - the Russian Federation). Participant in the liquidation of the consequences of the Chernobyl disaster. Talking about his main brainchild, the “Russia Without Drugs” center he created, Vladimir Ivanovich states: “Drug addiction is curable! Fully". And this is also one of his catch phrases...
The doctor knows what he's talking about. For example, before him it had never occurred to anyone to write a fairy tale about the dangers of drugs. And he wrote. "For what? But they talk about the need for prevention, but they start doing it too late, when it’s time to treat...” Vladimir Ivanovich is sure that if on our TV at least once a week there were half-hour programs about the dangers of drugs, then we would quite possibly not have any more drug addicts! And today V.I. Ivanov, speaking in the press and on TV, conducting consultations, is doing everything possible to ensure that this is the case.
