And this is the answer to the question raised in the article "The common sense of a student against rapid learning of the technique of playing tennis." (https://vk.com/@viivanov2050-zdravi-smysl-protiv-byst..). I managed to ease the situation and speed up the receipt of training results by teaching students to manage their attention. It is natural to believe that if a student makes a hand movement without paying attention to how he does it, i.e. he does not see or feel where the elbow, wrist, racket is located during the movement of the hand, then he does not remember it. Accordingly, it is obvious that without remembering the sensations that arise when performing punches, the design proposed by the coach, the student cannot control and repeat them. In such a situation, the development of automatism is extremely difficult and requires an unlimited amount of time. Therefore, before starting technical work, I clarify with the student his understanding of the meaning of the words attention and a change in the focus of attention. Then I demonstrate to him that with his consent, and... the most important thing is that the student himself can control his attention very quickly by changing its focus and concentration. Exercise: the student's attention is on the ball lying on the court, attention is on various parts of the hand (wrist. elbow, shoulder) and back on the ball. The student is pointing faster and faster at random with the finger of his left hand at the ball, at the wrist, at the ball, at the elbow, at the ball, on the shoulder, which I call. The exercise continues when I take the ball in my hand and start moving it in space at a time when, on my command, the student quickly points to the ball, to the shoulder, to the ball, to the elbow, etc. and ends when the student says that he easily manages to change the points of application of attention very quickly. Next, the check. We are watching the clip. Grigory performs the exercise, and the audience can make sure that he has the skill of very quickly transferring attention from a moving ball to a mark on the court, which he needs to step on before hitting and back to a moving ball. I will emphasize, that Gregory is doing this exercise for the first time in his life. https://odintennis.wixsite.com/tennisplaying/blog If you want to learn how to play, call +79266041818 V.I.Ivanov Tennis School - tennisplaying
